Meet Joanne: Your Leadership Coach & Partner in Growth

I’m Joanne, wife, mom, Nanny, and proud member of the ICF coaching community, dedicated and focused on bringing the clients I serve  the highest value so they can grow into their full potential. 

I am a proud alumni of the University of Alberta where as a young woman I graduated with a Bachelor of Education and years later,  I graduated with a Master of Educational Leadership degree. Both wonderful experiences. A few more years go happily by as a learning and development leader when my brilliant friend and colleague said let’s enroll in the Executive Coaching program together at Royal Roads University so of course I said yes, let’s! The most amazing, life changing learning experience. 

I love the art and science of the craft of coaching. 

Integrating coaching into my leadership work, shifted my professional relationships with colleagues and teams, highlighting their capacity and potential. I experienced the importance for leaders to have a thinking partner to see possibilities and opportunities. 

So after a very rewarding career spanning over three decades in educational leadership and human resources, I took the leap into a full time coaching practice. I understand the challenges and benefits that come with leadership where people are paramount and change is ever-present. Being a leader can be lonely and isolating and at the same time, so incredibly impactful and rewarding. 

I love the art and science of the craft of coaching.  As a self-confessed  geek about learning from leadership and coaching masters and colleagues, tremendous opportunities continually emerge as I learn more about the art, the neuroscience and the creative knowledge and skills into the wisdom of my own experience. 

For me, the opportunity I have now to serve and support amazing leaders to be their best as leaders in the world inspires me every day. Working from my home office in the Edmonton area also affords me more opportunity to explore new places and a creative endeavour or two.
